Hi David. It has originally 2 switches behind the smoke box door. One to turn the smoke on and off, the other for track polarity. I am not sure but if I recall correctly, that one has a middle position to stop the engine. Greetings Maxim

It's a custom smoke unit based on a Heng Long smoke unit. You can find them on eBay and AliExpress.

Hi Jean. Due to a technical problem in the YT Studio app, I noticed just now your comment. Glad that you have a Piko TEE too! The problem you describe could looks like a wrong connection of the connector in between the cars. Make sure the left wheel of the first car is connected to the left wheel of the rear car. This train doesn't need 2 decoders, you can just wire the second motor in parallel to the to first one. That also the best choice to keep them synchronized. Have fun with your model!

Dag Eric, je kan gewoon Lokprogrammer opnieuw installeren en downloaden via de esu website. Normaal gaat alles dan weer werken.

Bedoel je dat een "write decoder data" naar een ESU 5 decoder niet werkt? Mogelijks staat je soundproject nog op een andere versie. Dan moet je dit eerst converteren.

Hi I had a version with "air pump" for Tanks that's why I added a normal fan. I don't know for sure anymore, but I think that I used a buck converter and relay for the the heating element. The ESU XL has a 5V output, so you can directly connect it.

Yes they are! But in reality they were only used to do maintenance. They wouldn't be used during a ride. But it's wonderful to see the wheels of the model turning at night, so I keep them on.

You connect servo motors and leds directly to the ESU XL decoder. That's how it's done. ;)

Hi Alison. These are standard orange smd leds. The flash is controlled by the decoder, synchronous with the sound.

Indeed, the previous owner glued them im the wrong direction.

Hi Kenneth, the soundfile for the panto is the original sound from the project. The only thing I did is brake it up in pieces so that the servo can be moved on the right moment. How to do this is shown in another video on my channel. Succes!

I don't know anymore how I got it off, it were some screws, nothing difficult or special. To replace the battery you can use a buck boost converter so that it works already at about 3 V and that higher voltages don't damage the circuit.

The same as the Faller Car System, the car follows a wire in the street with a magnet.

Nowadays they do have whistle smoke, since Märklin took over.

Massoth has a special round version of their pulsed smoke unit. That will fit perfectly, but you'll have to give up some of the weight to make room. Steaming whistle is not possible with a Stainz.

The sound decoder is the ESU Loksound XL, which you can buy at every ESU reseller.

Hi Aníbal, that's not possible cause due to a conflict about music rights, the version of Floor was never used. Instead they used a new version of Martine Grünwald at DVH. The vocals of Baron 1898 were done by Anneke Van Giersbergen.

I use MTH Protosmoke, but also the original ESU Smoke Fluid does quite a good job. :)

Also, I did the digital conversion myself so I use ESU Smoke units. No Piko or Massoth.

The motor is original DC so it doesn't need to be replaced. This model has no lights. The sound file is free to download at the website. It has music in it but I added some more. Your seller can upload the sound for you so that you don't need the Programmer.

@@MaximDeDonder So the original 5750 has no lights from factory or lights are disabled when you converted to digital? Where do you put the speaker?

It has no lights from the factory like you can see in the video. The speaker is the original ESU Modular speaker, placed in the room of the old electronics.

@@MaximDeDonder Sorry for bugging. Given space limitation, do you use Loksound 5 for H0, Loksound 5 L for 0 gauge, or Loksound 5 XL for 1 gauge? If Loksound 5, which version do you use? Could you share the ESU model number? Thanks.

Dag Eric. Als dat een ESU decoder is kan je de instellingen inderdaad uitlezen en opslaan in een nieuw project. Maar het geluid kan je er helaas niet uithalen. Zie voor het uitlezen m'n video 'Lokprogrammer van A tot Z'. :)

hallo,mijn pc heeft de lokprogrammer 4 geinstaleert, maar de lokprogrammer 5 versie word niet aanvaard ondanks dat ik windows 7 gebruik. en ik heb al enige esu 5 decorders in omloop wat kan het probleem zijn,want het heeft vroeger wel gewerkt eric

Dag Eric, het zou normaal moeten werken. Heb je wel de laatste versie van de software geïnstalleerd? Als het echt niet lukt kan je contact op nemen met de importeur of winkel waar je de Lokprogrammer gekocht hebt.
